Backup Emails from cPanel

You may run into a scenario where you need to backup the emails that are currently saved in your Reclaim Hosting account. If so, this can be done relatively easily in your File Manager.

Here are the steps you will want to follow to backup your emails:

1. Log into the Client Area and then access your cPanel account using the cPanel link in the main menu:

2. Once in cPanel, open the File Manager option under Files tab.

3. Click on your account’s home directory, navigate to ‘Mail’ folder and select it.

4. Right-click on the ‘Mail’ option, look for the ‘Compress’ option, and select it.

5. There are various types of compression extensions like .zip, .tar, .tar.gz, .tar.bz2. Choose one of the compression techniques, leave the name as it is, and click on the ‘Compress File(s)’ button.

6. The compressed file is now stored on your hosting account server.

7. Right-click on the compressed file and download it. You have successfully backed up and downloaded your emails.
