The way the web works is changing, and over the past year, many large email providers have made changes to their services and how email works with their and, importantly, your domain!
Here at Reclaim, we are working hard to ensure that your domain stays safe, and part of that is improving email security.
Here is a quick overview of changes to our services from January 1st, 2025:
What's changing?
You need a high level of security and support for email, and routing email through our Shared Hosting servers (which, given the nature of shared hosting, can sometimes be blacklisted or end up in junk mail) cannot provide that. This is why, starting on January 1st, 2025, we are changing out webmail service offerings for shared hosting clients.
New customers
Starting January 1st, 2025, new customers purchasing the Student/Personal and Faculty/Professional Plans will continue to be able to connect their domains to services like Google Workspace and manage their MX records via their cPanel account. However, they will no longer access free webmail services through Reclaim in cPanel.
New customers purchasing our Organizational plan will not be affected, and they can send and receive emails from cPanel directly.
Existing customers
Existing customers on individual or professional Shared Hosting plans will not be affected immediately and will continue to be able to use their domains for email. We highly recommend connecting your domain to email services like Google Workspace and managing your MX records via your cPanel account.
