Sometimes you may not need to restore your entire account, but rather a specific site or set of files within your cPanel account. The following guide will walk you through restoring the files and database for a single site. Separately, if you're interested in restoring your full cPanel account, click here.
Navigating to your Backups
First, log into your cPanel
From there, click JetBackup 5 under the Files section.
You’ll then see a few options to use when restoring the content to your domain. You’ll see them broken up into Full Backups, Home Directory, Databases, etc. From here you can select the option you’d like to restore.
Restoring Files
If restoring files to your account click Home Directory.
On the next screen, click the date of the backup you want to use, and then click Change Files Selection.
In the pop-up window select the directory or directories with the files you want to restore, and then click Select Files.
Once back on the Restore and Download page, click the Restore button to restore the files.
You'll then need to confirm one more time before the restoration process will begin. Click Restore Selected Items in the Restore Summary window to begin.
Restoring a Database
If you need to restore a Database, click the Databases option on the home screen.
To restore the most recent backup of a database, simply click next to the date of the backup you would like to restore, and then click Restore.
If you want to choose a different backup of your database, you can click the Choose Other Backup button and then select another date from the dropdown list that will appear.
To restore the selected database, you will have to confirm this action by clicking in the Restore Summary pop-up window.
