Overview
Installatron has an automatic backups feature. This is a set it an forget it setting that keeps copies of your site in your account that you can restore at any point. These backups are already limited to 2 per application, with any new backup replacing the oldest one on file.
However, because these backups are stored on your hosting account, they can take up space you could otherwise use for your website. If you need to free up storage or simply don't need automatic backups, this guide will walk you through turning off the feature and deleting existing backups.
Reclaim Hosting also keeps regular off-site JetBackups, which can restore your entire cPanel account or individual files. See our guide on restoring JetBackups for more information.
Navigate to the ‘My Apps’ section under ‘Applications.’
Under the Application you’d like to modify, click Edit
Then navigate to the Settings tab, and select Auto-Update from the left-hand menu bar. From there, make sure that the "Do not create a backup." option is checked under Automatic Update Rollback.* *Note: If you don’t have automatic updates turned on you don’t necessarily need to turn this setting off. You can read more about turning off automatic updates here
Then, still in the Settings tab, select Auto-Backup from the left-hand menu bar. This is where you can manage your backup schedule.
Under the Automatic Backups section at the bottom of the screen. Select the option ‘Do no automatically maintain backups.’
Click ‘Save All.’ That’s it!
Note: You can always take a manual backup if you’d like. Click the "Backup" button with the right facing arrow next to the application you’d like to back up.
Deleting Backups
If your account is running out of space, the best bet is to delete some installatron Backups.
