Finding & Updating Your WordPress Username/Password

WordPress encrypts your password so it’s not possible to find your current password. You can set a new password in cPanel if needed or use the login link there to access your WordPress dashboard and reset a user password there.

Reset Your WordPress Admin Password

Start by going to your cPanel and clicking My Apps to view all installs

In the Applications list, click the title of the site view the settings:

You’ll want to click on the Settings Tab, then click on Application in the sidebar menu, and there you'll be able to view the admin username and set a new password. You can then use that password to log into the Wordpress dashboard on the /wp-admin page (i.e. https://mywpsite.com/wp-admin).

Log Into Wordpress with cPanel's Login Link

You can also use the login link in the application information to log into WordPress as the admin user. Once logged in, you can change the password for any user in the Users section of your WordPress dashboard.
